I am both encouraged and enlightened by this conference. Firstly, I realised in a fresh way that God has a need for the overcomers. We are not aspiring to be the overcomers for our own satisfaction, our own glory, or reward. The overcomers are for the accomplishing of God’s eternal purpose and for God’s satisfaction.
The overcomers are simply taking the position which the church should take and do the work for the church. In Revelation 3, we see that the church has failed and is still failing today. She has not become what she was originally purposed to be; she has not done her work, taken up her responsibility, nor stood in her proper position. Today God is waiting for the overcomers, the man-child. Only the rapture of the man-child can bring an end to the church age and introduce the kingdom age. The man-child enables God to move. If there is not a man-child and a rapture, God cannot bring in the kingdom age.
We should never forget that God can be limited. He waits for man in all His moves. Everything depends on the church. We have seen in church history that every time God wants to make a dispensational move, He must obtain His dispensational instrument. Of all the dispensational moves, the man-child, the overcomers (Revelation 12:5) is the greatest because it removes man’s power and the devil’s power, and it brings in the kingdom.
“Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ.” Revelation 12:10
We can overcome!
How do we become the overcomers? We simply need to RECEIVE Christ into our being. This is what is so encouraging to me – only Christ is the unique overcomer in the whole universe, and only Christ is the overcoming life. As genuine believers in the Lord, we all have received this overcoming life, this unique Overcomer into us, and He is now mingled with our human spirit! I’m so encouraged to see that He came to us in a mingled way – He can never be separated from us!
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17
We are now mingled with and attached to the source of this overcoming life. Therefore, we should no longer live by our natural life; rather we should live by the life of God (Gal. 2:20). We cannot produce or manufacture this man-child; we must receive something of Christ and be made pregnant of Him (Rev. 12:2). Something of our Christ must enter into our being. On the one hand, we are part of the woman to travail for the birth of the man-child and, and on the other hand, we are part of the man-child to defeat God’s enemy and to bring in His kingdom for the fulfilling of His purpose.
The only thing we have to do is to OPEN. “He who has an ear, let him hear”. May we all open to the Lord, be constantly open to our Husband, let Him reveal Himself, His need, His heart’s desire to us, and allow the element of Christ to work in us continually to saturate and permeate our whole being.
