One thing I really enjoyed about this year’s Poland conference (the topic was, The crucial aspects of God’s economy portrayed in Exodus: BUILDING) is that, although it was a bit difficult to follow and understand everything (because it is very summarized and because it was the first time for me discovering all these things), I was amazed to see what the Lord can do when we just open our heart to Him and turn to our spirit. I felt the Lord just opened up His heart to us this week and we got to see his heart’s desire for a corporate, mutual dwelling place on this earth.
Exo. 25:8 And let them make a sanctuary for Me that I may dwell in their midst.
This week we saw how we can build this dwelling place by examining all the materials that were used for the tabernacle and their significance in the reality of our daily Christian life and church life.
I have been to many Poland conferences and I must say that I was always afraid to go back home to my bad unsanctified habits and daily worldly routines, and I would always be disappointed because I would realize that I could not maintain the enjoyment that I experienced, seeing that I cannot be as close to the Lord as I was during the conference. So I would say to myself something like: it’s okay, I will just wait until the next big conference to have another new beginning and another revival.
Well, let me just tell you that, along the years, I realized that this doesn’t work! We cannot continue to survive by going from conference to conference and then have a high peak in Poland. No, we must climb to the top of the mountain EVERY DAY (and it doesn’t matter if we don’t reach the top, the point is we have to climb up) and be revived and refreshed in His word EVERY DAY and just be willing to be in the Holy of Holies (in our spirit) DAILY by spending time with Him and by just KEEP GOING FORWARD!
The point is that we need to experience Him every day. There are so many aspects of our dear Christ we have seen in this conference: gold as His divine nature, acacia wood as His uplifted humanity and strong character, silver as His redemptive work, all the offerings, the laver, etc. All the building materials and the items in the tabernacle typify Christ in so many different aspects for US to experience, acquire, enjoy, eat, savour, digest, and to assimilate. Actually, as a brother was sharing, with all these types of Christ we see that we actually experience Him much more than we think.
But what we need to realize is that all these riches are for us to take, enjoy, experience and offer back to God in the church meetings as the type of the heave offering shows us. This is how the church is being built up: by our experiencing all the riches of our all-inclusive Christ and by by our overflowing of our enjoyment in the meetings. Actually the ONLY proper material for building is CHRIST HIMSELF enjoyed and experienced by us; there can be nothing from us that would be natural or from the self. WE need to build up the church by touching Him, spending time with Him, and experiencing Him in all His riches.
And something that was so enjoyable during this conference is that we were given words or maybe explanation that we can put on our experience and this is priceless. A brother once said that:
Our experience can only follow the faith that we apply to the facts.
Well, I can say that this is really true in my experience. This week we saw that no matter where we are in our relationship with the Lord or in our growth in life, and even if we don’t know where we are, we must KEEP GOING FORWARD and never look back to our shortcomings, failures or sins! Look forward to the enjoyment and to the experience to God’s dwelling place; He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him (Heb. 7:25)! Hallelujah, we come forward to God through Christ!
The tabernacle shows us the way, and we don’t have to apply it in a religious way but we really have to be encouraged to go forward and to consecrate ourselves daily to the Lord to take Him. This means to count the cost and to make a decision to take this way of following the Lamb in our daily life and not be discouraged by our personal failures.
Let’s not be discouraged by our weaknesses and failures but let us exercise ourselves to apply the blood of Christ and be washed, read the Word and be cleansed by the living water contained in the Word, and take the Lord as our burnt offering because only Christ is absolute for God.
Lord, I take You as my absoluteness to enjoy You every day. Thank You, every day is a new beginning, a new start, a new opportunity to enjoy You and to experience You and to know you in Your Word! Every day is a new opportunity to build up the church! Thank You I don’t have to wait for the next conference to have a new beginning or a new revival in You – I can learn to live by You and to walk with You every day.
Saints, let us build God’s dwelling place on the earth, the Church, by eating and drinking our dear Lord Jesus and by enjoying the Lord and experiencing Him in all His aspects, by reading and by being constituted with His Word and by deepening our relationship with Him EVERY DAY SO THAT HE MAY COME BACK!
