Love the Church. Have Companions. Open to the Lord’s Light! (2014 Poland Camp)

Love the Church. Have Companions. Open to the Lord's Light! (2014 Poland Camp)Here are some things that I enjoyed in the 2014 Poland Camp.

First – the church. It’s the most important thing, it’s God’s heart’s desire, Christ’s beloved Bride. If we want to experience Christ, we must love the church! The more we love the church, the more we can experience Christ! Saints, we must love the church life!

Another thing that touched me is the matter of companions. We have to ask the Lord for companions! But we must be prepared that our companion most probably won’t be the same as us. If they were just the same, we wouldn’t experience much (if any) growth. The Lord gives us companions to make us pray more and more. Our friendship is supposed to be of Christ, not from the self.

The last thing I would like to share about is the matter of light. We need the Lord’s light! We are often veiled and we don’t see, just as in the hymn: “Remove my covering Lord, that I may see Thy light, and be deceived no more, but all things see aright!” Brother Tom shared an amazing prayer (I’m not sure if I got the whole thing):

Lord, I need light! Come as the light and shine on me! Lord, break through! I open to You! Lord, show me the way, don’t let me go! Scatter my night!
