What I enjoyed the most from the Poland Camp this year was that we need to go up to the Mountain of God.
Exodus 24:12 says “…Come up to Me at the top of the mountain, and be there….” According to the record in the Bible, God often spoke from a mountain – this shows that we are separated from the world because it is above from the ground, it’s quiet and there’s no distraction.
When Moses was on the top of the mountain, God was infusing His substance into Moses, and when he came down from the mountain, his face was shining. When we spend time with the Lord on the top of the mountain, which is our spirit, we will change (we will shine).
The speaking brother told us that the secret to the Christian Life is how much we enjoy Him, eat and drink of Him, and how much we spend time with the Lord on the top of the mountain.
Only a person who enjoys God can fulfill His purpose.
So God wants us to enjoy Him and He needs us to enjoy Him! I just want to encourage every young people to just enjoy Him and spend time with the Lord and read the Bible in a prayerful way. We don’t have to leave the mountain. When we are in our spirit, we are on the top of the Mountain! Amen!
The Ten Commandments
God gave us the Ten Commandments not “for us to behave well” but He gave to us because He loves us! The law is God’s revelation of Himself.
The Commandments have two functions. First, they enable us to know what kind of God He is. Second, they expose us what kind of person we are.
There is not a single person in the whole universe who can keep the law. It is impossible for us to do this. Only God himself can do this. In other words, these commandments refer us to God Himself.
This indicates that the law does not merely consist of commandments for us to keep. It also exposes us of what kind of person we are so that we can confess and repent.
I have experienced many times: I tried and tried to keep the law and to be a good Christian. Many times I told the Lord after some conferences “This time I won’t let You down; I’ll do this and that and that” but I keep failed to do so.
But now I realize that if we try to keep the law with our own natural strength, eventually we will fail. The only way to keep the law is two become one with God! Hallelujah!
