Pray-Reading the Lord’s Love Letter to Us, His Word (2013 Poland Camp)

Pray-Reading the Lord's Loving Letter to Us, His Word (2013 Poland Camp)Throughout the Poland Conference 2013 I really enjoyed the matter of pray-reading the word. August Francke, who lived in Germany around 1700, described the way of pray-reading very accurate.

So one may remain at every little verse in the Bible and as Luther says, “Knock on every little twig, whether there would be some berries that would fall off. Should at the beginning one think it somewhat difficult and should the prayer not flow at once, one may go on, to try the same on another twig. If the soul is only hungry, the Spirit of God will not leave it undernourished. Yea, it will finally be found, that the man will see so many living fruit in one small verse, that he will remain there and settle, as under a tree richly laden. ” Witness Lee, A Living of Mutual Abiding with the Lord in Spirit.

Whenever we come to the Word, we come to a wonderful and loving Person. His words are like a love letter to us. So sweet and rich. All we need to do is to enjoy His presence. And thus, by staying in His presence and beholding Him, we will automatically will reflect Him and He will shine through us!

Sharing by bro. B.K. from his top enjoyment in the 2013 Poland Camp (European Young People’s Conference in Poland).

  1. Let us then “Knock on evey little twig”, “go on” and “try the same on another twig”. The Lord will not leave us undernourished! Wow, thanks for sharing this!
