1 Tim. 4:12 Let no one despise your youth but be a pattern to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
A point that I really appreciated from this year’s Poland conference on the secret of the reigning life Joseph was that Joseph received God’s vision and through this he lived according to what he had seen. Relating this to ourselves we all need to have a view of what the Lord is calling us to do; however, the Lord’s calling depends on our receptiveness towards Him. So if we want to receive this vision and dream, God’s dream, our hearts need to be open to Him so that He can work within us.
Additionally it is important for us to realise that we should not rely on ourselves to fulfil this dream but, since this dream was given by God, it will come to pass. We need to be under the rulership of the Spirit and this dream needs to control and direct every aspect of our lives.
In Matt. 5:14 the Lord said ‘You are the light of the world… ‘. In God’s eternal view, His people are heavenly bodies full of light (stars of light) and sheaves of life. So we need to act as such, in our schools we should shine by continuing to speak to the word of God, and we should be sheaves by ministering life to those around us. If we act in such a way we will be living according to God’s dream.
We, the kingdom people in the kingdom life, are being trained to be kings, to be the Josephs – the reigning aspect of the mature life.
According to our natural concept, after we have seen the vision we think that something glorious will happen; however, this is not the case. We need to see that we are the “kings in training”, so we will go through many experiences of being limited, imprisoned, and confined. We need to realise that our contacting the Lord during these times is important because the Lord is trying to work something out of us. Lord, make us receptive to Your calling!
The final message of the conference summed up how we can be todays Josephs. We need to:
- SEE the vision
- LIVE the vision
- ENJOY our confinement
- OBEY the spirit
- KNOW/RECOGNISE the Lord
- DENY the self-shepherd/SERVE
- PAY the price
- Have a NAZARITE vow
