A Word of Fellowship on the Current Tipping Point in America (September 14, 2025)

This is a message by brother Minoru, a brother in Christ, on the death of Charlie Kirk being a tipping point in America. I recommend everyone listen to it, as it echoes my sentiments too.

He emphasizes the three ways Christians can respond based on 1 Timothy 2:1-4:

  1. We need to pray for our nation and for our leaders, and ultimately for God’s move on the earth, which has very much to do with what’s happening in the US.
  2. Boldly preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in a bold way, like our brother Charlie did.
  3. Avoid a bunker mentality and remaining silent in speaking the ministry we are called to, which not only brings men to salvation but also brings them into the full knowledge of the truth—God’s full salvation for the church.

He also mentioned that this is a tipping point in America, similar to the 60s, where the Lord moved mightily among the young people to bring in a spiritual seeking/revival. I agree!

“I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men; On behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4

In this sharing, the brother shares “a very heavy burden” regarding the recent killing of Charlie Kirk, emphasizing he himself is “not a mega person” nor a “Charlie Kirk fan” but speaks as “one brother in your midst” with responsibility towards the Lord and the church. He clarifies this is not about promoting “conservative values” or launching “some kind of ideological or culture war in the Lord’s recovery,” but about understanding “where we are at this time in this country” and “what we, by we meaning believers of saints in the Lord’s recovery, should be doing in light of what is happening in the world.”

God’s Sovereignty and Spiritual Awakening

This sharing strongly emphasizes that “behind the scenes, where God works in His mysterious ways, but according to His sovereignty,” there is divine involvement. He sees “the hand of God is in this” – both “the raising up of this man and this taking away of this man at a relatively young age has to do with God’s sovereignty.” He references Luke 15, stating, “this is the Spirit sweeping that house to find the coin,” describing “a huge sweeping that has been going on and it’s still going on.”

Historical Parallel and Revival

In this sharing, the brother draws parallels to the 1960s, when he was “a teenager coming into the Lord’s recovery” during “that very, very unstable tumultuous period, a decade of assassination if you will, violence and all kinds of lawlessness and decline of morality and war in Vietnam.” Yet in those volatile years, “God chose to move in a mighty way for us in His recovery,” resulting in revival where “the church in the recovery rose from a few hundred to thousands in a few years’ time.”

The Lord’s Commission and Recovery

I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men; On behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4There is an unchanged commission: “Go therefore and disciple the nations, baptizing them into the name of the triune God and teaching them all that I have commanded you.”

He references John 15 (“you are the branches, I’m the vine, true vine”) and John 21 (“Feed my lambs. Go and feed my sheep. Go and shepherd my sheep”), stating “fruit bearing and shepherding is our commission in the way of life.”

I love it when brother Minoru declares, “I think it’s time for a change, brothers and sisters, for the churches and the saints in the Lord’s recovery.”

He acknowledges that due to “outward opposition” and “people labelling us with bad names, we have become passive. We have become fearful. We have become intimidated, and “have lost much of our boldness when compared to the early years.”

The Recovery’s Special Commission

The Lord’s recovery is “to recover the high and complete and full gospel of God” and “all the truths in His word, basic truths, deeper truths, even the higher truths, highest truths.” It’s also “to recover the body life, the organic church life, as God’s testimony on the earth, to be the expression of God, to be the enlargement of Christ,” and “our subjective experience of Christ as our life.”

An Urgent Call to Action

The concluding burden is, “Let us rise up. Let us be bold. Let us take this opportunity that the Lord has given us. Let us not waste this moment. Let us not let fear keep us silent. Let us go forth and bear fruit. Let us go forth and shepherd. Let us go forth and build up the Body of Christ.” He emphasizes, “This is our moment, brothers and sisters. This is our time,” when “the world is searching, when the world is hungry, when the world is looking for answers, we have the answer.”
